Tyler is returning for his 3rd summer with Vivid Earth. A graduate of Fort Defiance, he is currently an Aerospace Physiology major at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida. Tyler is an avid climber and leads trips for his peers at college. He can't wait to get back into the caves in Virginia!

Kate has been climbing for 20+ years and is passionate about sharing her love of the sport with others. She’s all about building confidence, having fun, and helping others feel at home in the outdoors. When she and her husband are not at the crag, you’ll likely find them mountain biking with their pup .

Phoebe joins Vivid Earth from Southwest Virginia where she worked as a camp counselor for Scouts BSA. She is studying Biology and Religion at the University of Virginia and loves hiking, trail running, kayaking, and especially climbing. "I can’t wait to share my love and connection for outdoor adventure with others!"

A keen climber, Josh spent 10+ years climbing in the UK before moving to VA, though he loves any activity that gets him outside. As a guide, he has led climbing and paddling trips on 3 continents and loves exploring new places. When not in the mountains you can find him playing rugby (still getting dirty outside).

Annie has worked with Vivid Earth since 2024. They are currently working with Vestals Gap Ventures and guiding part time. Annie studied Kinesiology at JMU, graduating in 2025. They love caving & climbing and sharing that passion with others.

Greg joins Vivid Earth from upstate NY where he worked as a guide for over a decade, leading backpacking, paddling, and fly fishing trips throughout the Northeast. Enchanted by the Shenandoah Valley, Greg became a local the summer of 2024. When not caving or climbing, he enjoys exploring the valley with his dog, Hank.

David is from Roanoke and currently studying Dietetics at JMU. He grew up camping and spending time outside with family, and has recently gotten involved with climbing outside and at JMU's Adventure Center. "I'm excited to spend time climbing this summer and getting other people into the outdoors!"
