Weeklong Summer Adventures
Vivid Earth Summer Camps focus on educating our campers in order to build confidence and inspire lifetime pursuits. These are not merely guided trips, but learning experiences filled with fun, games, friends, new experiences, healthy risks, courageous decisions, goal setting, and so much more! With help from our amazing staff, campers will learn to navigate and read maps, tie knots, properly paddle a canoe, and correctly belay a climber, among other skills. We will build a community in the week we’re together and form incredible bonds and friendships.
A week at camp is an unforgettable experience filled with memories of lifetime!
Programming is available for ages 8-10, 11-15, and a leadership program for ages 16-17. Read below for more information on each program.

Ramblers
Adventure Ambassadors
Ramblers
Ages 8-10
Younger campers will experience a variety adventures and see a wealth of beauty and nature in and around the Shenandoah Valley. Their days will be balanced with big adventure and time for less intense activity. See sample schedules here.
Trips include rock climbing, hiking, caving, swimming, and canoeing. No experience is necessary as participants will learn skills needed for all these adventures in addition to working together and growing as a team and community.
Participants should be in reasonable physical condition with the ability to carry a day pack, hike up to 4 miles in a day, crawl, climb, balance in a boat, twist, turn, and have fun.
Seekers

Ages 11-15
Older campers will go on full day adventures, experiencing a variety outdoor sports and a wealth of beauty and nature in and around the Shenandoah Valley. Each day is action packed! See sample schedules here.
Trips include rock climbing, hiking, rappelling, caving, swimming, and canoeing. No experience is necessary as participants will learn skills needed for all these adventures in addition to working together and growing as a team and community.

Adventure Ambassadors
Ages 16-17
Participants will adventure with all age groups, taking on leadership tasks during each day. From public speaking to assisting in teaching skills to group management and more, they will build their character and leadership capabilities under the guidance of trained Vivid Earth staff.
Trips may include rock climbing, hiking, rappelling, caving, swimming, and canoeing. Basic knowledge of these activities is preferred but not required.
Participants should be in reasonable physical condition with the ability to carry a day pack, hike up to 6 miles in a day, crawl, climb, balance in a boat, twist, turn, and have fun. This program is for older teens who want to continue adventuring and build additional leadership skills. Space limited to 2 participants per week.
