School's Out, Trip's on Adventures

Vivid Earth Youth Programs are tech-free. These are days meant to be outdoors, away from a screen so each person can focus on face-to-face interactions and enjoy the bounty and adventure provided in the outdoors. Even while driving, our staff will help cultivate conversations and fun through games, questions, and music. Vivid Earth will contact guardians with any needed updates, and a representative from Vivid Earth will be available by phone if needed. Campers are encouraged to bring non-phone cameras if they wish to document their trips, and remember  what Aldo Leopold wrote, “Shining adventure remains forever bright only in the mind.”  

What if it’s raining? We’ll find shelter, play games, build skills, set up tarps, or maybe even continue with the activity in spite of the rain.

School's Out, Trip's On programs usually meet in Staunton, VA for pickup (8 am) and dropoff (5 pm.) Vivid Earth provides all equipment necessary. Participants should bring a packed lunch each day. Vivid Earth will provide snacks during the day.  You will receive a packing list and forms upon registration. If you have any questions, please reach out to us!
